You're a Reminder of Trauma and Pain

You say that when they look at you, they see this reminder of trauma and pain. But I think that when they looks at you,. they see love and that they love you so much that they are afraid of losing you. You said if their life would have been very different, if this all wouldn't have happened, it would have. It would have been less rich all around. That seems pretty clear given the strength of the relationship over so many years. And so I want to caution you not to assume that you know what the pain is that they're feeling and that you're the cause of it.
