The last component I didn't cover is comprehension and maybe the syntax aspect of Spanish. The syntax in Spanish is a lot more flexible than in English. So when students may construct sentences that may seem incomprehensible, consider hey, maybe they're transferring their syntactic structures from Spanish to English.
