Chastity and Modesty in Islam
In 19 83, a law was passed as part of islam mic punishment. It made it appearing in public without hejob an offence subject to 74 lashes or a fine. After 19 79 revolution, covering hair and ha job has become compulsory. They have no say in the matter. And to a large extent, whole issue of woman's dress became a very political and contested issue.
