Is There a Monopoly in AI?

I think the thing that's most interesting to people who are are actually going to like truly change our future is the platform. If someone completely controls that that essentially unifies a lot of power all of these advanced AI technologies in a more singular place I don't think we'll ever have the like software type of monopoly like we do with WeChat in China but I think a hardware type monopoly can enable some of the really scary and looming effects of a more software monopoly.
