I met CS in 1999 when he worked at KPFA and then KPFA was a few months later thrown into crisis. So the radical media seemed all the more important at this point. We produced a broad side called neither their war nor their peace because we knew that the licensed media would in general be telling lies about the numbers or so on. These become rather important. What's for 20 years now been a really tremendous beacon in a dark media escape. The way against the grain came onto the air was rather circuitous and unexpected.
