The Sovereign Right to Define His Covenant People

God sits in heavens and does as he pleases Psalm 115 three, but you can't assume that God's pleased to deterministically control your choices. Verse 16 of Psalm 115 goes on to say that the heavenlies belong to the father, but the earth is given over to man. The sovereignty means the right to do with one places. That's why we pray. A prayer that would be somewhat superfluous if God's will is always meticulously brought to pass here on earth as it is in heaven.
