Agamemnon's Death

Achilles faces the decision of whether he wants to live or die. He is presented with a choice by his mother, thetis, the goddess. She says that man's having death for a future is abhorrent to nature. And so this is the choice of warrant to nature that achilles nevertheless makes. But he's not really in full possession of himself - he's been made into a thing by rage.
