Donald Yokovani has a new book out entitled Teaching White Supremacy. And he's engaged in this kind of survey of history textbooks used from colonial period all the way up to now. He is after all the most frequently cited author on Colleagues syllabi. But you know, when you think about it though, think about how long it took in high school history books for slavery to be talked about or reconstruction to be discussed.
