Blake Snyder's memento is almost the type of thing you want to try to do, but you need to balance it with actual actual execution and commercialism. To come up with a really clever idea and execute it is often a way you make a name for yourself. I just have a feeling I do remember this movie being so avant-garde that I was like lost or, you know what I mean, or it didn't feel like it was going somewhere.
