The People's King of the Land
The people capture the trans jordan, defeating kings sihon, king of heshbon and og king of bashan. The lords subdues both before them, delivering their peoples into their hand. They are given a rich land and resources that they had not built for themselves. In verse 32, the levites move from recounting what god has done in the past to petitioning,. on the basis of what god hasdone in the past, and the way he has revealed his character through those things.
