If something was done to the left atrial appendage now, a huge part of this is imaging afterwards. If there's any residual flow beyond probably a 3mm threshold, then you can still get a clinically relevant stroke in that situation. For patients that are going to surgery, if they have atrial fibrillation in a high chads, VAS score, I'd say two or higher really.
