What You're Seeing Is a Double Edged Sword

In the 20th century, it's just this incredibly unique century. It's a really non-normal century because of the amount of simply technical and like strictly military transitions that go in this period. Moreover, the general shape of the period is what is responsible for the essentially malignant nature of essentially all autocratic regimes after Napoleon. All of these regimes are in a very clear sense rebels against an Anglo-American global condominium. And so what we're doing when we think about everything from Putin, even Stalin of course, you aligned with the Anglo-American world but never intends to be its tool.
