The Barclays Spine Race
The spine race is a 268 nonstop ultra marathon, taking in the entirety of the Pennine way. The winter edition takes place in January, meaning competitors must battle snow wind and subzero temperatures as they make their way from E-dale, Derbyshire, to Kurt Mielthome in Scotland. It's become known as Britain's most brutal race. This week our male winner, Damien Hall, and second place female, Hannah Rickman.
