I don't think that you could really classify the killing of Osama bin Laden as an assassination because it was sanctioned by the US military to go in there in helicopters and kill this guy. I always think of assassinations as being like Lincoln, where someone just walks up and goes, you bang. So Lincoln's assassination was a big conspiracy. They were originally planning on kidnapping. And there was a whole bunch of people involved. Really? John Wilkes Booth, the guy who assassinated him, was originally like, he was the most famous actor of his time.
