How Do You Write for the Biblical World of Gender?

The book is a mag colpa, but it's also kind of empirically focused. I didn't want to create a rose colored, you know, glasses perspective where I just see the Bible as fully supporting women in terms of empowering them and all this stuff. The big punchline I use for the book is we ask what can women do and not do. But when we look at the actual Bible, women are everywhere and they're doing everything.
