When he was 16, Zhang Yimou came to the U.S. for a cultural exchange program. He thought this would be the start of a dream but ended up living in rural Louisiana with his host family. Zhen: "I actually chose a path of security and conformity and looking for family approval" But when he woke up at 30 years old, he realized it wasn't as easy as he'd imagined.
