Getting Good at Reading Is the Fast Track to Fluency

If I could go back, I definitely would have put way less emphasis on trying to get better at Japanese. Getting good at reading was the fact fast track to fluency, because it was much easier to grow your vocabulary from reading rather than spoken conversation. The best way to understand is to be put in an environment where I can focus 100% of my attention on listening without having to speak myself.
