Apple's new Mac Pro has a retina display, but it won't be 10 times faster than the old one. The price doesn't ever go down during the lifecycle of the product and will stay this exact same from now through whenever the next one comes out. Whether I buy it now or whether I buy it in six months, doesn't make much of a difference, really. It's like you're paying the same price, might as well have it sooner.
