The Role of Servers in the Future of the Web

Dan: If servers become more optional in this future version of the web, then we have to explain how is that functionality going to be handled when there isn't a server. One of the reasons for centralization is what we would call discovery. People like the idea that their data is permanently stored out somewhere in the cloud and the cloud never goes away. Another example of where you're probably going to keep using a server is large file distribution.
