How to Write a History of an Idea

This series of podcasts will be a history of an idea and like any but the most exhaustive of history, it's going to leave some things out. The goal is to understand how science was done in order to arrive at the conclusions reached. Atomic theory is actually a pretty philosophical thing, especially at the beginning and then towards the end. It is deeply intertwined with two questions: What is the nature of reality and how do we know that?
