How Does the Garbage Collector Work?
The garbage collector is something that's hard to get hold of. It turns you don't really know how it's going to effect your program. And so even though the garbage collector in the j b m is faster than any other garbage collector that i know of, when you start scaling to many cores, if you're doing things that our garbage collect ore heavy, you won't see your program scale. But for bigger systems, that's a good property to have.
