Are We Having a Capacity for 650 Trials?
The idea that we don't have capacity for 650 trials is simply wrong. Even before plea bargaining was as popular as it is now, judges were really unforgiving of those defendants who insisted on going to trial. So there's a lot of pressure to plead guilty after a while. If people think you're going to ple bargain a case, then you probably plea bargain a case.
