Should I Read the Graphic Novel First or Is This Necessary?

The only dialogue in it is actual words on the page. So that would be ok for me to listen to without ever having seen it. I so i've read about half of the first, i think they call it episode er book. And then once it continued on, like i it wasit, the pictures in my head, it was as if i had already read it. It'll work immediately if you've never read the graphic novel, but it's not necessary. Oca it works.
