The Power of Skillful Means
The word skill for means is used by some Buddhists to rationalize self-indulgent behavior. It's a fantastic evocation of up higher culture as it's called, skillful means. In the traditional scheme of the Dharma, it's the seventh paramitaar of the perfection of the Bodhisattva. So when you hear about skillful means, it's something in a sense we can't do but must revere and wonder at.
