There were, like, people in servitude of some kind. They're thinking about these boundaries of freedom versus unfreedom. And they're also thinking about class status and trying to maintain what we don't want ai status person marrying someone from a lower stratum of society. All those things are not necessarily falling along the line of european verses,. Not right? Especially like with religion. The reformed church is pretty strong.
