David's life has been kind of a hill valley experience. King Saul is an egomaniac and he gets insanely jealous of all the attention that David is receiving. So he throws a spirit, David, to try to pin him to the wall. He gives his wife to somebody else, uses the state-controlled media to trash his reputation,. Then tries to have him assassinated.
