Religion Has the Answer for Which Science Does Not
Most people will be seeking religious solace. We're seeking some answer that revives their sense of a meaningful cosmos in the face of abject senseless pain. The ones we know as the actual traditions emerged in a context where there was unbridled violence and terrible collapsing empires. But we are way past the secular. That's gone. I remember Ken Wilbur said something like the pre-modern world God was everywhere. In the modern world, God was nowhere. And then whatever comes next after the modern God will be everywhere again.
