Elixir and Phoenix - What's the Difference?
OTP is fantastic. I can't imagine myself developing an application, like a server application on anything but OTP at this point. There's nothing out there besides OTP that really fits the bill here and gives you a world of like agent based concurrency in a way that's safe and distributable. Phoenix is this kind of whole framework that gives you this like very rails like experience without the slowness of rails and with the added benefits of OTP. As a sole developer, well mostly sole developer with a couple contributors on this Banchan app, I couldn't afford the time or the cost really of like writing an entire framework on my own.
