How to Write the Laws of Physics in a Different Way

Information is not just about the current state of your set of switches, for example. It's about how many different states could those switches hold. A hard drive with more switches can hold more information because it can have lots more different patterns and so can hold bigger pictures or more images. So we measure the information in a system by how many differentstates can it be in, because that's a way to code some vital thing. And again, it's not re writing the laws of physics. It's saying, when you go to write the laws of Physics, instead of just thinking about what's going to happen, think about what's allowed and what's not allowed.
