I Want My Kids to Feel Powerful

I want my kids to understand this early in life, so they can understand how to take responsibility for where they are. The next expectation i have is taking responsibility for your es and outcomes. This really falls in line with teaching kids how to feel empowered, rather than falling into victim hood. If we don't take responsibility, everything is everyone else's fault. Everything is stuff that just happens to us, we're powerless. So when he takes responsibility for his choices and the outcomes of the choice, he gets to have the power over how he behaves next time. And then i would have them practise it, say it back to me, and then we could have a dialogue about it. I
