Kronos and the Olympians

From such an ignominious beginning there arose the core six figures of the Olympian pantheon. From them also gushed the world's rivers, dozens in numbers. And as the universe became populated with such a plurality of beings, Kronos began to reveal his true nature. Zeus prepared for battle by freeing the Cyclops long ago bound by Oranos. These one-eyed creatures, grateful for their liberation, gave Zeus the power of thunder and lightning.
