The Life of a Penciler
When Peter first started bookmaking he was at Wampath Park Greyhounds. He learned his craft a little bit from the Greyhound Racing. Quickly I developed the idea that if the demand was strong enough then somehow I could sort of proportionately play each of the runners. You didn't really require large capital to keep you afloat. The art of bookmaking is to lay each runner in proportion so that if you do it perfectly that you won't have a liability once they go to post.
