First home buying is the only thing that's worked to increase home ownership recently, right? In the last two decades, in terms of using super for housing, I always say that the best asset to own when you're retired is your own home. Why would we have a system like super where you can buy your next or neighbor's home, but not your own home in your super account? Like it just seems like kind of bizarre system. So such are the advantages of being your own homeowner and the fact that I've learned about Singapore, for example, where people use their compulsory savings to buy their own home. It probably would be take your money out of super and buy a home.
