Every spring thousands of storm chasers descend on the southern states like big game hunters. They start in Texas and follow the prevailing winds up through Oklahoma, Kansas and the Dakotas. Tornado alley produces an average of a thousand tornadoes a year. What makes this region so unique are three geological features that combine in just the right way.
