What Do We Know About Roman Roads?
i wanted to ask you, at this sort of point in early mediaeval britain, that road network we know it survives. What do we know about how it's surviving and how it's being maintained? We don't know exactly how they survive the fifth and earlys enturies, but we can probably assume that a lot of the local community maintenance plays a role. And with it also elements, not all of it, but elements of the sort of roman economic system survive.
