Mothers often unknowingly sacrifice their own retirement in order to save for their children's college because typically they've had student loans. Take advantage of the time that you have decades before you're retiring to take advantage of compound interest. There are no retirement loans so for us I would say we did our best to make sure that we're going to be set for retirement and then now we're privileged enough to taking advantage of these nice things for our kids.
