The Importance of Empathy in Parenting
When we're empowered, an individual can be more easily recognized and respond by either confronting or withdrawing from a perpetrator. In addition to abuse, there's a second level of trauma for a victim as it is a person they depend on for survival who's violated their trust and their well-being. And that's called empathy. To empathize with people who betray you is called wisdom.
