The internet is for the most part decentralized, he says. That makes it possible for somebody to build up a whole lot of audience in one place and then start dictating terms to other people who want to access that audience. But if you have too much audience attention being gated by one company's power, Facebook, YouTube, Google, whatever the case may be, they can then dictate terms to everyone elseWho tries to make content in that entire medium. And I hate that on so many levels.
