The Jobs Act in 2012 gave away to all crowdfunding, including commercial real estate and that landmark piece of legislation simply eliminated the restriction of general solicitation for private investments. So as a result, pretty quickly, individuals were really able to gain access to commercial real estate investments for the first time.
