The Importance of Humor

Humor depends on the fact that we think in terms of certain heuristics, certain norms. We've been rewarded by evolution to take pleasure in discovering these bugs in our cognitive functioning. Humor is about humility realizing what cognitively frail beings we are. There's now a Philosophy Bites book published by Oxford University Press.
