Are You Aware of the Causes of Your Desires?

Spinoza thinks that ideas are just like everything else in the universe. They are things that are caused and shaped by other things. The difference between adequate and inadequate ideas is that sometimes i am aware of the causes of my ideas, and thus i understand them adequately. He also talks about the fundamental amdbivlent nature of our affects. That as much as we think of affects or emotions as being defined by a particular kind of binaries, love and hate, o hope and fear, they are not very stable,. And they are constantly a risk changing over to the other.
