The Ammonites and the Moabites are Israel's Eastern neighbors. They don't really get along with Israel, but they wind up being subdued by David. The southern nation of Judah was ruled by 20 Davidic kings for about 350 years until the Babylonian exile. And oh, by the way, Judah later grows into a tribe and that tribe happens to produce Kings David and Solomon.
