The Inzudyumna and the Elephant
Among the noted Gandharvas are two famous musicians who entertain Brahma, not Brahman, Brahma. One day he was taking a bath in the river and he noticed the sage, another sage, Devala. He saw this Devala and being a mischievous Gandharva, who who? So I am under the water and pulled the sage's legs. And so that's the backstory. The crocodile became free because of the devotion of Gajendra towards Vishnu. But it all was occasioned by the offering of a flower, the elephant.
