I think because it's such a natural creature of American imported culture was trying to impose themselves in the UK public, it may be entirely sui generis. We're seeing an ideology looking for its Trump over here. And I find it deeply concerning. It involves an implicit admission that the conservatives are going to lose the next election and lose badly. None of it is about policy right now. All of it isabout positioning after a bad loss next election. That worries meBecause this is not about what government we get next time. It's about what governmentwe get the time after that.
