I've read a lot of posts on Reddit, on different forums. And this is just my personal experience over the last five, six, seven years of doing this stuff. There are ways you could even set up spinning Rust to get pretty good throughput. Then I make sure that the disk pool is labeled scary RAID. So for those that aren't familiar, RAID 0 is striped across both disks. You may miss out on data integrity or protection.
