How Would a Better Leader and Administration Be Handling the War?

From the moment that Russian troops crossed into Ukraine, the obvious thing for the United States to do is to demand that both sides sit down and negotiate a compromise. The broad outlines of a negotiated political settlement were obvious before the fighting started. Make no mistake, this is a proxy war raging against Russia. It would have been over a long time ago if we weren't propping up the Ukrainians.
