Are the Simulations a Way Out of the Illusion?

In eastern religions we have the contention that we live in some sorra, but there are various approaches where you can become enlightened and you can find your way out of the illusion. Though of course, that always brings up the evil demon question as to whether these ways out actually exist,. or whether the simulator, in this case, has created these illusions and basically has us as wraps rats in a in a maze where there is no way out. N of course, this is illustrated wonderfully in the the matrix movies, themselves one of the great embodiments of the simulation idea in e in fiction.
