When we were evolving, we lived in relatively small groups and success depended upon knowing what other people were up to. Keeping up on private lives of other people was essential to social success. And like it or not, i guess we're descended from busybodies. Those of us that are here are the left overs of people who were pretty good at keeping up with what is reedoing.
