The Cost of Shelter
I think it comes down to what is the cost of shelter for at least a one or two bedroom space, depending on your needs as a family. What are the average costs of childcare? I just think that generally from my own anecdotal experience, making anything less than $60, $70,000 in New York was near impossible to save any money. Or I was much more closer to like catastrophic financial impact. Anyone whose cost of living is going to be higher, I could see that manifesting as, well, I'm going to hire a single 22-year-old and not a 40 year old with two kids.
