"The average indian novel, especially in english, is incredibly banal. The very good indian novel is very, very good," says author Ravi Agrawal. "There's hundreds of thousands of very sophisticated readers out there in india... They might not all read the same books, but when you line them up and line their libraries op it's a fantastic world", he adds.
